Flood damaged bible pierced by an unknown implement, Paper from the chapters ‘The Verdant Green’ and ‘When War Will End’ from the book The Way of Peace, Ash, Salt, Soil from the grounds of a church bombed in WW2

This piece is inspired by one of the most beautiful churches I’ve ever seen, a plain brick chapel in Sicily that was bombed in World War 2 and never repaired due to lack of funds, now a tree grows through the floorboards and the sun shines through the space where the roof once was.
